This is a truly knowledgable, must-hear katha of Maskeen Sahib for any doubtful or querying minds about the purpose of Charitropakhyan (Which Maskeen Ji refers to as Triya Charitar) and more-so about the characteristics, nature, purpose, uses and misunderstanding relating to "kaam" - the most avoided vice (of the 5: Kaam, Krodh, Lobh, Moh, Ahankar), least discussed by Kathakars and Sants alike. A truly eye opening katha veechar for those with a broadmind and a yearn for true knowledge.

As Maskeen jee said there are three types of Shabads which are not discussed: 1) Those we do not understand 2) Those that go against our (as oppose to our Guru's) values 3) Those that society does not find suitable and does not accept. For me I believe Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji's Charitropakhyan comes in all three of these categories, and the one who rises above these is bestowed with the gem of knowledge contained within the stories of the Caritro Pakhyan.

For those that would call this Katha explicit and inappropraite, and furthermore challenge Giani ji's beliefs and I have seen one such article which in itself displays high levels of ignorance and request you to either ignore such viewpoints completely or assess them for yourself and come to a meaningful conclusion. See, from my observation our Punjabi Culture follows two extremes: extreme conservatism with extreme levels of hypicrosy and public deceit rather than exemplary character and extreme liberalism which comes with the same. The Charitropakhyan has been a victim of this in a sense, people with there own faults try to find similar faults in whatever they see.

I have witnessed the deadly diesease of kaam and i am a firm believer in dasam granth and what it says. I was part of Kaam before I came on the Sikhi path. Kaam makes you do the craziest things and women can lead you to hell on earth and i truly believe in that. Not all women are bad of course because there are some good women too. Some women can transform a man into a dog following her around everywhere. You lose yourself and you are nowwhere close to God.

Just to add that people who are raising voice against Shri DASAM GRANTH Saheb, that it wasnt wrtten by Satguru hav niether seen this granth nor read any Gurubani. how can one doubt it.
They must know the Khalsa is Born In Dasam granth saheb, so if this granth isnt work Of Tenth Master Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji so Surname SINGH Must not be sufixed after thier names as AMRIT SANCHAR cant happen ever

People in Canada who are the leaders of gurdwara's their own families are not even following sikhismn their kids don't even come to gurdwara with them,, their own sons have scary hair styles. they are against the sant's who are truly preeching sikhs. Sikhs need to kick these ppl out of gurdwara's. every time we see des pardes TV show from B.C they are always talking about sikhism, sants and both of the hosts are not following sikhism. people like them have no rite to judgge other people who are doing sewa, spreading the word of sikhism.
Giani Maskeen ji is right when he say people abraod do more kintu parantu, because they think they are the smartest. They are modern sikhs. They don't even think hairs are needed.

Let us read stories of great Guru Sahibans, saints like Baba Karam singh ji hoti mardan ,Baba Attar Singh ji mastuana , baba Nand singh ji.also let us remember our great shaheeds.Above all read/listen more and more gurbani for enlightenment.There is lot to be taken from God/Guru Sahibs through ardass.Let us remain away from this dirty mire. Guru Gobind Sahib ji came with the orders from AKALPURAKH.It is our foolishness which is causing obstacles in understanding or labeling it other way.Thankless people may find faults with SGGS-Ji Maharaj.
Do whatever but do not let it become street talk.We need not to give answers to every shallow person.

My request to my brothers is to involve as less as possible in these petty arguments.Rather spend maximum time on Bani listening.I have found peace in this way.
